To change this perception of the character, she walked as a model on Gear cover partially clothed. The Jessica's fans were furious at the action. When she performed on the season 6 of 7th Heaven, Jessica left. Her fame was instantly boosted by her exceptional acting skills as teenage Casey Jackson in Ulee's Gold. The performance she gave in the film won her the award of Best Supporting Youth Actress. Summer Catch is a great illustration of her talents. In spite of her outstanding performance, Rules of Attraction was not an instant hit. In the following years, audiences were drawn by her character in The Texas Chainshaw Massacre.
